Its just a month before the 2010 World Cup will begin and the battle between the stars are just beginning in the music industry.
May is a month with explosion of releases from many artists, from comebacks to debut. Some of the idol's have been gone for more than 1 year making the competition between the idols even bigger.
Lee Hyori and Rain already had their full scale comeback in the first weeks of April but because of the naval sinking incident, music programs have been cancelled majority of April delaying their comeback promotions. But last week, Music Bank, Music Core and Inkigayo were able to return to normal broadcast and they were able to have their comeback performances along with 2pm who made their comeback on the last weeks of April.
Lee Hyori, Rain and 2pm are still going to meet up with more competition and rivals for the month of May with massive comebacks from some of the biggest idol's and idol groups in Kpop.
Wonder Girls are going to release their new album in May 16 marking their comeback after more than 1 year of hiatus, they will also cross promote from South korea to United States. Since their popularity with their hit song "Nobody" a lot of expectations are set on their comeback.
Super Junior will also be releasing their 4th studio album in the month of May. Super Junior have expressed that they have worked hard for their comeback and they are ready to bring a new image to their fans. They also had their successful 2nd Asian tour.
SS501 are also coming back with a new album. On May 1 which was 501day, they held an encore performance from their Persona Asian tour is Seoul and also released their concept photo's for their new image on their upcoming album.
New Girl Group who debuted last year f(x) also will make their comeback on the first of May, already releasing their teaser photo's showing a new and fresher image for their 2nd mini album.
Along with the comebacks, BEAST, U-kiss and ZE:A have released new versions of their title song and follow up song and will continue to bring the power of boy group's as they continue their album promotions in May. MBLAQ will also make their comeback this month with a new album with a song which was supposed to be Rain's title song but was given to them instead.
From group comebacks, Gummy among the solo artists have also made her comeback this May. She has released her new mini album after being on hiatus for a long time from the music industry.
Among the most anticipated solo comebacks is Se7en who have been gone in the music industry in Korea for 3 years and 6 months. He will make his comeback by the end of May with a release of a new album. He has been working hard with his debut in United states since November 2006 and now will make his comeback in Korea.
These highly packed month of May is not to be neglected despite the World Cup fast approaching. A lot of fans are already anticipating the comeback of some of the biggest stars of Kpop who has been gone in the kpop industry for years.
